Curriculum Mapping System for Medicine
The Curriculum Mapping System (CMap) of the Faculty of Medicine is a tool designed to capture the systematic transmission of scientific and clinical knowledge to medical students during their course of study. It describes and catalogs most of the learning activities in the clerkship and pre-clerkship years. Each activity is cross-referenced and searchable by weighted keyword, and by the educational objectives it supports. CMap gives administrators, accreditors, instructors and students a detailed look at where specific topics are addressed and how educational objectives are being met. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities encountered in building CMap.
