The Team that Powered TechKnowFile 2010

I would like to acknowledge the fantastic efforts of the TechKnowFile 2010 team that helped power this year's conference chaired by Bob Cook. Every single member of the team volunteered their time, efforts, skills and ideas to make this year's TechKnowFile a memorable event for the community. In total, it took 43 people to make this event happen!

TechKnowFile goes Mobile!

Dear TechKnowFilers:

Great news! TechKnowFile went mobile! If you have an iPhone, you can now access your personal schedule, review sessions, locations and presenters using the TKF Mobile WebApp.

Using your phone browser, go to: http://tkfmobile.oise.utoronto.ca and login using your techknowfile.org username and password.

Give us your feedback at the TKF-Dell feedback kiosks available in the Stone Lobby of the MedSci building on the day of the conference!

Thank you to everyone that attended TechKnowFile 2009. Last year We had a great turn out of more than 550 people an we look forward to another great conference!

We are very excited about this year's conference and are delighted to confirm Richard Katz as the TechKnowFile 2010 plenary speaker. R...ichard Katz is vice president of EDUCAUSE and founding director of the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research (ECAR).

Google Docs - Who is using it at U of T?

I am curious to find out how many departments are using Google Docs on all three campuses? There seems to be an increase in popularity, so let's do a quick informal survey. If you are using it, please reply to this thread and let me know how you utilize it. Thanks!

Please have a quick read of the information regarding an volunteer opportunity to support the response efforts in Haiti, consider helping out if you can and please send this information on to others that may be interested. I am affiliated with a volunteer group that develops free open source software for disaster management called Sahana http://www.sahana.lk/node/12 . It is used by NGO's and governments such as Sri Lanka (Tsunami) and China (earthquake), also now Haiti.
